The Buc’s 2023 Draft Preview

Though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended last season with a record of 8-9, and went to the playoffs, the Bucs still lack players on their team. But, with the Buccaneers having had such a drastic change with certain players leaving the team, here are some players the Buccaneers could target in the upcoming NFL draft.

With the 19th pick in the first round, the Bucs are projected to select Brain Branch as safety from Alabama. He would replace Mike Edwards, who has signed with the Chiefs. Since Branch has quick feet and great depth perception, he fits in with the model of the Buccaneers.

With the 19th pick in the second round the Buccaneers could potentially pick Felix Anudike-Uzomah as an Edge from Kansas State. With the Bucs selecting Felix Anudike-Uzomah, they plan to use him to exploit their opponents weakness throughout the season ahead of them. With Felix, the Buccaneers have the ability to bull rush the quarterback and also sack them for a loss of yards as well.

With their selection in the third round, the Buccaneers could potentially pick Zacch Pickens, a defensive tackle from South Carolina. With Zacch’s quick feet he possesses a gap of athleticism to attack upfield and build blocks schemes well. With Zacch building blocks, it makes it easier for the linebackers to get through their gaps to get to the quarterback or the ball. This makes it a faster and more steadfast game which is a good thing for the Buccaneers to have an upper hand on the opponents on offense.

With their first selection in the fifth round, the Buccaneers are projected to pick Deuce Vaughn, a running back from Kansas State. Deuce has accomplished the way to bypass other opponents near the scrimmage line. Deuce also has the ability to fit through tight spaces and he is very effective through breaking tackles, which is what Coach Todd Bowles looks for in a perfect running back.

With their second selection in the fifth round, the Buccaneers could potentially pick Andrew Vorhees, a offensive lineman from USC.

With the first selection in the sixth round, the Buccaneers are projected to select Cam Jones, a linebacker from Indiana.

With the second selection in the sixth round pick, the Buccaneers have potentially selected Nick Saldiveri, a tackle from Old Dominion.

Last but not least, with their third selection from the sixth round pick, the Buccaneers could select Malik Cunningham, a quarterback from Louisville.
