In the past few weeks, many well-known figures have been tested and diagnosed with Coronavirus. COVID-19 or Coronavirus is a deadly virus that attacks the lungs and acts as the common flu. Ever since December of 2019, COVID-19 has spread throughout the world killing thousands of lives at a time.

Those who test positive with COVID-19 are quarantined from others until they show no signs of having the virus and carrying it to others. Many celebrities such as actors, singers, sports stars and more have tested positive for Coronavirus.

One of the first of which was actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson. Hanks has appeared in many roles throughout the years, which includes Woody from Toy Story, Forrest Gump, Chuck Noland from Cast Away, along with many other American movies. The couple, both 63, was diagnosed Wednesday in Australia.

Though it is confirmed that the couple does not show any severe symptoms, they have been isolating themselves in their home until their illness passes. Hanks wrote on Instagram that “We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time.”

NBA star, Rudy Gobert has also tested positive for Coronavirus. After Gobert was diagnosed, he took to Instagram to apologize for being careless for touching microphones while at a press conference.
“I have gone through so many emotions since learning of my diagnosis…mostly fear, anxiety, and embarrassment,” says Gobert. “The first and most important thing is I would like to publicly apologize to the people that I may have endangered. At the time, I had no idea I was even infected. I was careless and make no excuse. I hope my story serves as a warning and causes everyone to take this seriously.”

Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was tested positive for COVID-19 this Thursday. The couple quarantined themselves after Trudeau showed flu-like symptoms. Trudeau’s office has come out and that Trudeau is currently feeling well and will remain in isolation.
