Top 5 songs of the week

Everyone is always looking for a new song, new artist, or new album to listen to whether that be something that just released or something of a throwback. Here are my top seven personal recommendations of songs to listen to this week.

Starting off at number five, this song came out on July 15, 2013 as the first single released for the band’s fourth studio album: Miss Jackson by Panic! at the Disco ft. LOLO. The song itself has beautiful lyrics that anyone can jam along to. The song is the second track on Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die.

Continuing on to number four is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. As the Queen biopic movie starring Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody recently released in theaters, listening to this song gets you excited for the movie. As it is a classic song most everyone knows, you and your friends can sing it loud and proud.

Coming in at number three is Loser Geek Whatever from the Broadway musical Be More Chill. This number takes place after Upgrade ending act one of the show. During the song, Jeremy Heere (Will Roland) sings about he is tired of feeling like a loser and now that he has a SQUIP to help him make decisions that will change his personality so he will not be “the loser, the geek or whatever.” Songwriter Joe Iconis and Will Roland officially released the song November 30 at midnight during a viewing party on YouTube.

In second place, Ariana Grande’s thank u, next. The song has a very catchy beat and has been circulating as one of the top songs since its release on November 3. In the song, Grande mentions all the ex’s she’s had. Recently, she released the music video for the song which goes through some of her favorite movies including Mean Girls, 13 going on 30, Legally Blonde, and more.

Finally taking the number one spot is Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Is You. As it is the holiday season, it only makes sense to begin listening to holiday music as early as possible following Thanksgiving. This song released all the way back on November 1, 1994. The track has become one of the most well known to listen to during this time of year.
