At 6:44 A.M. on December 4, United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot outside his hotel in New York City. However, what has shocked the public most is how the killer has evaded capture.
After gunning down Thompson, the killer ran down an alley, hopped on a bike, and escaped into Central Park. He then boarded a cab at 86th and Amsterdam, later getting on a bus near George Washington Bridge where he was last spotted. The killer has shown extreme precision in his work, covering his face in front of all security cameras and paying for his hotel in cash.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) has been relatively unsuccessful in their attempts to track down the killer. They have found that the casings of the bullets used to splatter Thompson’s heart out were marked “deny”, “defend”, “depose”, words often used by those against major healthcare companies, but aren’t too close to catching the killer.
Thompson’s murder has had extreme mixed reactions. While this has freaked out the business world and executive class, many people on the internet have been apathetic towards his killing, some even going as far as to say he deserved it because of the evils his company has inflicted.
The killer remains uncaptured.
