Newsome High School recently held its homecoming dance at Raymond James Stadium. The theme for the school event was “A Night in the City.”Everyone looked stunning; the girls wore their best dresses, and the guys wore their best suits. Newsome’s SGA team worked hard to plan this event and set up the decorations. Balloons and lights lit up the room as Students entered the building.
Upon entering, guests saw the decorations , creating a magical atmosphere. The food and drinks were set up on the first floor along with the drinks. As Students went up the escalators, the music grew louder. People were already on the dance floor. in the other direction, Students could find arcade games and photoshoots. Students took pictures and enjoyed the activities. The space quickly became packed with students filing into the stadium.
Students crowded around the dance floor and danced together. Those in attendance would take notice of how quickly a mosh pit formed in the middle of the crowd. Everyone was pushing each other and jumping up and down, with some students falling or getting trampled. While mosh pits can add excitement to a school dance, it’s important to be aware of your surroundings as people push and shove their way around the dance floor.
This was certainly a night to remember, with everyone having the time of their lives. Everyone was dressed up and looking their best. Our administration did an amazing job at giving their students an amazing night and giving their students a great opportunity to make new friends.
