“Dune: Part Two” was released March 1, and is the sequel to the highly praised original Dune. This movie is yet again directed by Dennis Villeneuve and expands the Dune universe.
This movie features most of the same cast as the original movie such as Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, and Rebecaa Ferguson. However, it also features new actors such as Austin Butler and Florence Pugh. Other supporting actors in this movie include stars such as Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Christopher Walken.
This movie’s plot will follow Chalamet’s character trying to take revenge on the people who destroyed his family. Paul will be trying to prevent a future that he foresees. However, Chalamet will have to choose between the love of his life and the fate of the universe.
“Dune: Part Two” so far has been a hit at the box office, and is pulling in more numbers than previously expected. In North America, it made $82.5 million on opening weekend and globally it made $182.5 million. “Dune: Part Two” doubled the amount of money the first movie made on debut. This movie cost over $200 million dollars to make and so far, this movie will be making a load of profit. Reviews have come in for “Dune: Part Two” and the movie has garnished a plethora of good reviews. The movie has received a 93 percent on rotten tomatoes and a 95 percent on audience score. The movie also scored an 8.9 out of 10 on IMDb.
“Dune: Part Two” is also going to have one more movie to come along with it. If that movie is also as good as this one, this franchise could be one of the best sci-fi franchises of all time.
