Bored? Stressed? Lonely? Stuck at home with a surplus of candles, and conveniently, a couple paintbrushes? Well, good thing you found this article. All these problems can be solved with some simple candle painting. Similar to regular painting, you use paints to create a picture on a canvas. Except instead of paints and a canvas, you use candles. It is not boring, not stressful, only a little lonely, and uses a surplus of candles and a couple paintbrushes.
Materials:
One white candle
A variety of different colored candles
A Lighter
One or more paintbrushes
A pencil
A knife
A cup of water
Paper towel
Directions:
- First place your white candle on a flat surface, if it is not wide enough to stand on its own, use a candle holder.
- Light each of your different colored candles with your lighter. Make sure not to burn yourself, because that would not be cool.
- Take your pencil and sketch out the design on your candle. Do not press down on your pencil with too much pressure, so it does not pierce the wax.
- Wait until all the colored candles’ wax has melted down enough to use, and then you are ready to paint.
- Take a paintbrush and dip it into a color, applying it to the candle like you would when painting regularly. Make sure to paint multiple layers, about three or more, so the color is vibrant and bold. Allow time for wax to dry in between layers and colors, or they will blur into each other, and you will end up with an unappealing feces color.
- Between switching colors, use the cup of water to wash off the brush, and if needed, dry it off on the paper towel.
- If you make a mistake, you can use the knife to scrape off unwanted wax, or just paint over it.
- Repeating steps 5-7, you will soon have a unique customized candle, to light on fire, to your desire, safely of course. Arson is bad.
