Starting in early January, the United States has encountered a plethora of storms and exceedingly poor weather conditions that have affected most states.
The storms have ranged from high winds and small tropical storms within Florida and similar areas to intense winter storms destroying property and injuring people caught in said storms.
The more intense winter storms have been affecting the Eastern regions of the U.S. far more than other areas of the country. Said storms have resulted in the previously mentioned damage to properties as well as the physical well-being of people, but are extenuating freezing conditions in affected areas.
Most notably, the temperature consequences of the storms seem to be the most impactful. The freezing weather caused by the storms has launched many affected into life-threatening conditions, chiefly because of the cold.
While the storms are primarily attacking the eastern parts of the U.S., the north is also being heavily affected by similar deadly conditions due the snow and ice brought by the storms.
Overall, the storms have been relentless across the country, accompanied by heavy danger and destruction. They only appear to be getting worse as well, resulting in continuously rising deaths around the country, unfortunately. Casualties appear to be rising to 100, and eventually will pass 100 if conditions persist.
People living in the affected areas should be looking out for the following: to stay clear of the heavy snow, freezing rain, ice storms, as well as some instances of hail. Many of the deaths and injuries are being caused as a result of the cold, after all, so it is safest for people to stray as far away as they possibly can from said conditions.
Some suggestions are to be on the lookout for weather sites detailing what to do in cases of severe weather events, as well as staying updated on when these events may happen, like rain or storms. Most importantly, stay inside, and stay warm. This is not to say that most are not doing this, and not being injured from the conditions, but it is safest to do so regardless. There are no updates on approximately when the storms will come to an end, but until so, be on the lookout and stay safe.
