“The Fall Guy” is a new action-comedy movie by David Leitch coming out May 3rd, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. In this movie, Emily Blunt is a director and the ex of Ryan Gosling, who is a stuntman, and in an attempt to get her back, he must save the star of her movie.

   This action film is based on the 1981 series that has the exact same name. The producer of this film Kelly McCormick states that, “It is a love letter to stunt. It is a love letter to cinema.” Considering the plot of this movie stars a stunt man and parts of it takes place on a movie set, viewers can already tell he is not far off.

  Leitch is a director that is very familiar with the action-comedy genre. In 2022, he released his “Bullet Train” starring Brad Pitt. This movie was very fun, however, it was not greatly received among critics and took a whopping 54 percent on rotten tomatoes. However, it did a lot better among fans and received a 76 percent rating.

   Gosling will be the star of this film and considering his recent success as Ken in “Barbie,” it is likely he will be the main benefactor of getting audiences to watch this movie. He also starred in “The Gray Man” a little over a year ago, which is another action movie directed by the Russo brothers, so coming back to another action movie will not be hard for him to settle into.

   This movie will also have stars such as Blunt and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Blunt was recently in the major box office success “Oppenheimer” directed by Christopher Nolan, and Taylor-Johnson is a great addition to this movie due to the fact he has worked with Leitch before in “Bullet Train,” so he will be used to his filmmaking style.

   “The Fall Guy” will follow a very simple and concise plot, so hopefully this movie will offer a lot of fun and great comedy. Due to the director being Leitch and the main actor being Gosling, there is a high chance this will be nothing short of a good time.
