Sometimes you’re craving rice, yet it is too plain. The solution? Fried rice. It is savory, delicious, and contains four of the five food groups. An all around nutritious and delicious dish. Though it will be a bit difficult to manage when preparing for the first time. So the following recipe is written with the utmost care and detail to make the process easier.
Ingredients(for one serving):
1 cup of cooked rice
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of olive oil
¼ cup of frozen peas
¼ cup of frozen corn
¼ cup of frozen diced carrots
¼ cup of diced spam(or other meat alternative)
Black Pepper
Salt
Instructions:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Prep a cup of cooked rice.
- Dice ¼ cup of spam, or other meat alternative, and put aside in a small bowl.
- In three other small bowls, put aside ¼ cup each of frozen peas, corn, and carrots.
- In a medium bowl, take the rice and 2 eggs, and thoroughly whisk them together.
- Using a medium pan, place on the stove and turn to medium heat.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the pan and pour the mixture of eggs and rice into the pan as well.
- Take a spatula, and fold the eggs and rice mixture into the oil.
- Then, take the small bowls of spam, carrots, corn, and peas and pour them in, individually, using that specific order.
- As you pour in the small bowls, fold the ingredients into the oil, and rice and eggs mixture using the spatula.
- Using the spatula again, mix all the ingredients in the pan together, and then after about 15 minutes, or whenever the rice turns a nice, toasty, brown color, turn the stove to low heat.
- Get the salt and black pepper, because it is seasoning time. Sprinkle in as much black pepper and salt into the fried rice as you wish. But if you do not have any wishes, just sprinkle in seasoning with a circular motion of your hand. Two circular doses of black pepper, and one circular dose of salt.
- And now pour this delicious, delectable, dose of dopamine, into a bowl, and eat to your heart’s content(with a spoon, of course).
