Robert Pattinson is an English actor born on May 13, 1986. Pattinson is known for his roles as Edward Cullen in the “Twilight Saga” and Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” His most recent large role was in “The Batman” that released on March 4, 2022.

   Pattinson was born in London, England, and started acting at 15-years-old at the London theatre club. At 17, his first role was Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter” which came out in 2005. The fame from the movie encouraged him to continue acting, which eventually landed Pattinson the role of Edward Cullen. Once he played the vampire in all five “Twilight” movies, Pattinson became ranked among the world’s highest paid actors.

  In between filming the “Twilight Saga,” Pattinson starred in a few romantic dramas including “Remember Me” and “Water for Elephants.” Then, when the“Twilight Saga” ended, he was the male lead in “Good Time,” “Damsel” and “The Lighthouse.”

   Finally, it came time to see Pattinson’s face on screen again when he was casted to play Batman in the new “The Batman” movie. Pattinson was excited to play Batman, since he is such a well known character, but told fans he could mess it up since the character has high expectations. “The Batman” is about how when Batman visits Gotham City, a killer leaves evidence behind and the journey starts. Along the way, Batman must make new alliances and bring justice to the people of the city. The action movie was almost three hours long so there was plenty of time for Batman to catch the culprit.

   This new movie for Pattinson adds onto his list of genres he has acted in which is holding at 11: action, horror, romance, war, history, documentary, comedy, music, drama, satire and children’s film.

   From his long list of movies and even a couple of television shows, Pattinson has been nominated for and received quite a few awards. In total, Pattinson has over 45 award wins and over 75 award nominations across the world. From “The Lighthouse” alone, Pattinson was nominated for best actor multiple times and won a few of them.

   Everyone is excited to see what Pattinson will bring to the world in the future but until then, there are plenty of Pattinson roles to fill the hole in their lives.
