The Stars Reunite in Stars Hollow
November 3, 2016
-It’s time for the Gilmore Girls fans to be ready for anything with the upcoming series revival
Gilmore Girls is coming back. The TV drama that dominated its audience in the early 2000’s is returning with a vengeance-but only for four episodes. That’s right, with a nearly perfect five star rating on Netflix, the site known for popularizing binge watching, the Gilmores, played by Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham, will return with four episode series known as Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
The revival will hit the small screen on November 25 with nearly all of the fan favorites returning. The main person die-hard fans will notice missing: the late Edward Herrmann. Herrmann died in 2014, and his on screen character, Richard Gilmore, will be sorely missed in these episodes as he always brought a certain light to show, being the only male Gilmore.
However, fans do get to look forward to the return of Rory Gilmore’s three boyfriends, Dean, Jess and Logan. Jared Padalecki, who plays one of the protagonists in the CW’s hit show Supernatural, is reprising his role as Dean, Rory’s first boyfriend in the lovely town of Stars Hollow.
Of course, the infamous Luke Danes, played by Scott Patterson, will be returning, and is shown in the trailer at the Gilmore residence. So, it’s safe to say that the fans will at least get to find out what is going on between Luke and Lorelai, the two members of Stars Hollow that can divide the town due to their relationship.
Sookie St. James is even returning, answering the question that had been on the fans’ minds due to Melissa McCarthy’s rise to stardom in recent years.
The show, A Year in the Life, will cover the happenings of Lorelai and Rory through spring, summer, fall and winter. Some key things to note are that all three ex-boyfriends appear in in the trailer for the event, so there is no telling if Rory will end up with one of them.
The upcoming month before the show’s release could not pass by any faster, as fans are clamoring for the chance to return to the idyllic town of Stars Hollow, at least for a short amount of time.
