Recently, I’ve been inactive on Instagram and decided to try Facebook for a change. I know it’s considered to be very old school, but it’s not as bad as it seems!
Facebook has some equally great qualities as Instagram, like the reels feature. Surprisingly, I’ve quite enjoyed watching Facebook videos and reels in my downtime. It’s even taken over my time on YouTube.
While there’s not much to post on Facebook since it’s just a bunch of old people (no offense), it’s still great in a lot of other ways.
I’ve found myself joining different Facebook groups for colleges and neighborhood pages and there’s a lot of useful information on each of those pages regarding college housing and opportunities, as well as neighborhood updates.
If you’re tired of Instagram for a plethora of reasons, you should try giving Facebook a go. It’s not as bad as you think.
Instagram can be toxic in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to making girls feel insecure. Instagram overall is one of the meanest social platforms out there, and so far I haven’t experienced much negativity on Facebook besides the Karens who lurk around the neighborhood pages.
Altogether, Facebook might seem boring at face value to a lot of teenagers, but as a teenager, I’m here to tell you that you will not age 50 years upon downloading the app. Check it out!
