On April 5, 2024, J Cole surprise dropped his new album, “Might Delete Later”. The record features 12 new J Cole songs, with features from Bas, Ab-Soul, Central Cee, and others. This was J Cole’s first solo release since he dropped his 2021 album “The Off-Season”.

   While the tracklist is decently strong throughout, the main buzz behind the album comes from the song “Seven Minute Drill”, which sees him responding to Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss. While many believe his response was weaker than Lamar’s initial attack, other fans think that Cole’s rebuttal was just a warning shot, and more is soon to come.

   Overall, the album features some of J Cole’s most memorable flows, especially on songs like “H.Y.B”. He also has songs that call back to some of his older work, such as “3001”. 

    While there are weaker tracks on the tracklist (such as “Fever”), Cole delivers a very solid performance on this record and creates a fun listening experience for his fans.
