Top Five Secret Things To Do At Disney World

Meghan Reyes, Reporter

Everyone loves Disney. From the movies, to the parks, and all of the adventures awaiting you. But, most everything has been explored by guests right? Wrong. Here are the top five secret things you can experience at Walt DisneyWorld Resort:

Pirates of the Caribbean is both a very successful movie franchise

and one of the oldest rides in park history. The lines are always an hour or longer, fast-passes for this attraction are often gone by the time you can make a reservation. What if you could complete a scavenger hunt and win free fast-passes for your favorite swashbuckling attraction? You’re in luck because if you head to Adventureland, pirates will provide you with a special treasure map. When you complete the adventure on the map, you will  be rewarded with fast-passes for your entire party!

For our next secret, we take you to EPCOT. The Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow is known for science. Living with the land is an attraction many people adore. This ride explores the agricultural systems of the Walt Disney World Resort. At one point, you will enter a greenhouse where lots of produce is plated for use around the theme parks and resorts. The Behind the Seeds is a tour of that greenhouse. You get to experience the same things the scientists who work on the land do. For only twenty-five dollars you can walk in a world of amazing.

You can visit everyone’s favorite intergalactic saga at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. From piloting the Millenium Falcon, to building your very own droid the possibilities here are endless! Something many people don’t know though, you can interact with the land around you! Just download the My Disney Experience app. From there you will be able to complete tasks sent to you by Hondo Onaka, the famous smuggler pirate, or Kylo Ren, leader of the First Order. The traders on Battu will even interact differently with you.

Lets face it, we’ve all ridden the Kilimanjaro Safari hundreds of times. We’ve exhausted the Festival of the Lion King, travelled to Pandora, and found Nemo. What some don’t know is there’s a whole lot more to Animal kingdom than just those things. The Maharajah Jungle Trek is a path through the jungle. You can see many exotic animals, such as parrots and monkeys. The real star of the show though, is the tigers at the end of the trail. These tigers are only accessible through this trail. So hurry, go see them!

Every time we go to Disney we eat at the same places. Ohana at the polynesian, Casey’s Corner at Magic Kingdom, Oga’s Cantina at Hollywood Studios just to name a few. The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a musical dine-in experience at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. There you are transported back to the old west as you’re joined by The Pioneer Hall Players, Six-Bits, Dolly, Claire, Johnny, Flora, and their fearless leader Jim. This is also a dine-in experience and it’s all you can eat! If you chose to check this place out you’re in for  a night of good food and southern hospitality.

Disney is an old family experience, everything’s already been done. But, if you follow these tips, you can revamp your family fun.
