NFC Championship Preview

This Sunday, Jan. 22 at 3:05 PM ET, the Packers and Falcons will play for the NFC Championship and the chance to play in Super Bowl LI.

The Falcons, led by MVP candidate Matt Ryan, are coming off an easy divisional round victory over the Seahawks where Ryan passed for three touchdowns and forced two turnovers against the Russell Wilson led offense.

Ryan will attempt to beat Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers who are coming off a thrilling victory over the Dallas Cowboys, which was won by a Mason Crosby last second field goal after Rodgers led a drive with only 35 seconds left, which included a play where Rodgers drew up a play in his head and told his receivers where to go.

The Falcons and Packers matchup Sunday figures to be a high scoring game with lots of passing involved between the two teams. Rodgers threw for 40 touchdowns this season while Ryan threw for 38, both having the highest two totals in the whole league.

Rodgers will be forced to connect with more receivers as he will be without his number one target, Jordy Nelson, who is questionable with a rib injury. Ryan will have his number one target Julio Jones, who will be held back by a toe injury and is also listed as questionable but is expected to play.
