Actress and singer Selena Gomez is returning to television as an executive producer of the new show “13 Reasons Why”.

The show follows Hannah Baker, a high school senior who commits suicide.  After her death, her thirteen friends receive cassette tapes explaining why they were each one of the reasons she decided to end her life. This eerie storyline is based on the best-selling novel “Thirteen Reasons Why” released in 2007 by author Jay Asher.

Netflix, a popular internet based video demand service is famous for the original shows they produce, such as Orange Is the New Black, Fuller House, House of Cards, and Black Mirror. These shows have become famous based on the number of fans they attract.

Selena Gomez has 110.9 followers on Instagram, and her loyal “Selenators” are sure to bring their never-ending support to Gomez’s newest project.

Gomez dropped a teaser for her new show on her Instagram, about a month ago, calling it her “passion project”.

Selena Gomez is also keeping busy with her music, as she just released a new song with Kygo called “It Ain’t Me”.
